Geneva, the Watchmaking Capital. Don’t miss Watches and Wonders 2026

Picture Geneva in mid-April: a city where the crisp Alpine air carries the scent of heritage and the hum of tomorrow’s technology. From 14 to 20 April 2026, the world’s eyes will be fixed on this lakeside enclave as it transforms into the undisputed capital of time. This is not merely a trade fair; it is the grandest horological theatre of the year, beckoning those who appreciate that a timepiece is less about tracking hours and more about capturing a legacy.

The Return of the Titans

The 2026 edition signals a profound shift in the industry’s gravitational pull. The exhibitor list has swelled to 66 brands, marked by the seismic return of Audemars Piguet—the venerable manufacturer from Le Brassus that remains the oldest fine watchmaking house still in the hands of its founding families. Their presence lends an air of unimpeachable authenticity to the Salon.

They are joined by ten other newcomers, including the clockwork masters at l’Epée 1839 and a curated selection of avant-garde labels like Behrens, Bianchet, and Corum. To accommodate this influx of talent, the Salon has expanded its artisanal sanctuaries: the Carré des Horlogers now hosts 23 exhibitors, while the Mezzanine has grown to 15, ensuring the independent spirit of watchmaking has the grand stage it deserves.

An Invitation to the Inner Circle

While the first four days are reserved for the industry’s gatekeepers, the Salon graciously pivots to the public for the final three days—the weekend and Monday. It is a rare opportunity for the aspiring collector to step behind the velvet rope and witness the unveiling of the year’s most coveted releases.

Note: Online ticket sales have been on sale since 10 February 2026 at watchesandwonders.com. Don’t leave it until the last minute: last year’s edition drew nearly 55,000 visitors from 125 nations, all vying for a glimpse of the extraordinary.

‘In The City’: The Dandy’s Playground

True luxury is a lifestyle, not just a complication on the wrist. This year, the ‘In The City’ programme expands its reach, most notably through a partnership with the Montreux Jazz Festival. On Quai Général-Guisan, a 600-square-metre club inspired by the iconic Montreux Jazz Club will host live concerts and DJ sets every evening from 5 to 11 pm.

The city itself becomes an extension of the exhibition:

Future Tense and Timeless Culture

For those who seek intellectual stimulation alongside aesthetic pleasure, The LAB offers a redesigned space dedicated to fifteen hand-picked startups shaping the future through sustainability and social impact. Meanwhile, culture seekers can wander through the “Wake Up!” exhibition at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire de Genève, a narrative journey through the history of the alarm clock from the Middle Ages to the present day.

Secure Your Place in History

As Matthieu Humair, CEO of the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation, notes, the ambition is to offer a “genuine city-wide cultural programme” that transcends the Salon floor. With a free shuttle service seamlessly connecting the Salon to the city centre, the experience is as effortless as it is enriching.

Geneva awaits. Ensure you are part of the conversation. And remember, in the world of high horology, the only sin is being late. Be on time.
