Orient Star launches M34 F8 Date, a practical timepiece with a date stamp
Orient Star introduces the M34 F8 Date, the new flagship timepiece from the M34 Contemporary Collection. With a unique dial design inspired by the Perseid meteor shower from the Pereus constellation, and a state-of-the-art high-performance movement mounted with a silicon escapement wheel, the flagship M34 F8 Date sets a new path for Orient Star.
Two models are available, a white dial model, which is limited to 160 pieces, and a blue dial model, which will join the brand’s core collection. The white dial features a hand-carved pattern depicting the Perseid meteor shower, while the dial on the regular model is further enhanced with a blue color, representing the night sky.
This captivating color scheme was achieved thanks to Epson’s optical multilayer technology, which creates a color toning effect on the metal plate. The optical multilayer film controls the reflection and transmission of light through multiple layers of nano-thin transparent film to create an effect that would not be possible with ordinary lacquer.
Like the dial color, the new M34 F8 Date mechanism is also equipped with advanced technology. The automatic mechanical caliber F8N64 is mounted with a silicon escapement wheel, which has become one of Orient Star’s signature technologies since it first appeared in the 2021 Skeleton model to celebrate the brand’s 70th anniversary. It offers high accuracy and a 60-hour walk reserve.
The timepieces will be available throughout Europe, priced between 2,500 and 2,700 euros. For more information, visit Orient-watch.com.
